Greenville, North Carolina — Amira M. Hijazi Named First Damian Van Fields Scholarship Awardee
Greenville, NC — June 4, 2024 — The Damian Van Fields Scholarship Committee is proud to announce Amira M. Hijazi as the inaugural recipient of the Damian Van Fields Scholarship Award. This prestigious scholarship, established to honor the legacy of community leader Damian Van Fields, supports outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.

Amira M. Hijazi, a distinguished student from Innovation Early College High School in Greenville, North Carolina, has been selected for her exemplary achievements and dedication to making a positive impact in her community. Amira, who served as class president, is also celebrated as the committee's first student intern, where she demonstrated remarkable initiative and leadership. She will continue her academic journey at Duke University this fall.
